Why did SkyShowtime charge me twice?

If you just signed up to SkyShowtime and see two transactions on your bank statement, it’s probably because one is the actual payment you made, and the other is just a standard authorisation fee.

The authorisation fee is a way to check that your payment method has enough funds, but the money is not actually taken. It will disappear from your bank statement within 3-5 working days.

See the table below to get an idea of how much your local authorisation fee is.

For example, if you sign up for SkyShowtime in Sweden, your authorisation fee will be 10 SEK. After checking that your payment method has enough funds, the 10 SEK charge is voided. We will then charge your card 39.50 SEK (monthly subscription cost).

Give it 3-5 working days, and the 10 SEK authorisation fee will disappear from your bank statement.
